Nice Two Storey Apartment Above Restaurant.

The design of this nice two storey apartment have completed by MU Architect. Located just above a Tampopo Restaurant, a popular Asian restaurant in Montreal Canada. The clients, Marie-Michele Dubois and David Leblanc, want to have a two bedrooms and supporting rooms such as bathrooms, walk in closet, kitchen area, also an open living area with a terrace. A spacious impression that is present in their homes is highly expected.

In order to achieve the impression of a spacious area in this  apartment , a space program is created in such a way by putting the private spaces such as bedrooms and bathrooms that required a massive wall on one side of the building (north side), so this can be generated a quite enough space on the other side (south side), which in this case, serves as a living area, dining area, kitchen area on the first level, and a small seating area that directly connects to the wide terrace on the second level.

This nice two storey apartment has two terraces on both sides. On each edge of terrace contained a path of vegetation to put the plant. One of this terrace (north side) which is more wide than the other, oriented to enjoy the sun throughout the day, and provided with a Jacuzzi, and an “L-shape” sofa, or if necessary also can be placed a table and chairs for certain occasion such as a barbeque. While the other terrace is more likely as a place for family activities and more private, so the wall is made higher than the other terrace.

Maybe you will expect that the interior of this nice two storey apartment will be filled with natural materials such as wood, because the façade of this building it looks natural. I was also expected as it was, but surprisingly, the interior of this apartment is very modern look and clean. The interior was dominated by white (walls) and gray (concrete floor). The fireplace is covered with a layer of blue steel. The glossy effect in some furnitures. Only the stairs that use the natural material as  a folded solid wood plane with a single sheet of tempered glass serves as the guard rail.

Overall, on this project, MU Architect with the architectural skills, travel experience and client management strength has successfully to create a spacious impression, and inviting place to live in this nice two storey apartment.

Refreshingly Striking Colors In Apartment Design

Watch these refreshingly striking colors in this apartment designed by Anna Marinenko. There’s not many colors are used in this small apartment, just two striking colors, red and green.  She put these colors in some parts of the wall. She only put red or green color on one wall in each room, and the rest is white as a neutral color. This featuring a perfect balance and make the wall is definitely eye-catching in each room. Nice and contrast. What is interesting is, she combines red and green colors between the walls and furniture. In each room that using red wall, she uses a green color for the furniture, and in the room that using a green color on the wall that she would use the red color on the furniture.

She was so good at putting these colors on each object in this apartment,  very interesting to see how she plays with these refreshingly striking colors, and she was also very careful as well to maintain a balance between the colors with one another on every object, She also played with the dynamic forms that she do on the ceiling, furniture, and in various other elements of the room. It looks like she tried to harmonize the contrasting colors that come, through dynamic forms, which of these forms based on the  triangular base form. Well, she is featuring a lot of simple ideas in a very alluring interior design concept.

This small interior apartment looks truly very pleasant and interesting. The refreshingly  striking colors and dynamic forms that presentation in this apartment is very neatly maintained. In the design of this apartment, each element of the room, and objects perform with their each character without  interfering with each other, which make the overall design look harmonious.

Creating an attractive design concept does not have to begin with complex ideas, it can be based on a lot of simple ideas, and Anna Marinenko has done so well in this apartment.
